Little Boots made her Los Angeles debut this week with a performance at Club NME Los Angeles last night (February 4).
Backed by a drummer and keyboardist, the solo project from Dead Disco frontwoman Victoria Hesketh won over the packed house, which included members of No Doubt, Mika and Lily Allen producer Greg Kurstin.
"This is exciting. It's my first proper gig in LA," Hesketh said. "I come to LA quite a lot so it feels like a homecoming even though I've never played here."
The crowd cheered and danced with their hands in the air throughout most of Little Boots' 40-minute set, and booed in disappointment when she announced she would be playing her last tune. "This is a little song I can't quite fathom," she said when introducing her hit 'Stuck On Repeat', which got the whole crowd hopping.
Little Boots played:
'Magical'
'Meddle'
'Click'
'Mathematics'
'New In Town'
'Love Kills'
'Stuck On Repeat'
Club NME takes place at Spaceland in the Silver Lake neighbourhood of Los Angeles every Wednesday night.
