Little Man Tate man not a BNP member

The 'Jon Windle' on leaked list is not Sheffield singer

Little Man Tate's Jon Windle has been forced to deny he's a member of the British National Party after a case of mistaken identity.

A list of members of the right-wing party were leaked on a blog last week and with a "Jon Windle" from Sheffield appearing among the names there has been some online speculation.

However the Little Man Tate singer is not the same Windle on the list - as NME.COM has independently verified.

The band themselves also issued a statement clearing up the matter.

They explained: "We would like to assure their fans that the Jon Windle that has appeared on the leaked list of BNP members is not the band's vocalist. Jon has never associated himself with the BNP in any form."

ed2005, there is nothing that shouldn't be joked about, as long as it is a joke. Loosen your arsehole.

"We would like to assure their fans that Jon Windle is a bog standard left wing celebrity".
