Razorlight surprise Live Earth crowd in London

Johnny Borrellshocks Wembley with new look

Razorlight have continued the music bash Live Earth’s London leg today (July 7).

The band took to the stage at Wembley Stadium after being introduced by comedian Eddie Izzard.

Breaking with his currently clothing tradition of wearing all white, frontman Johnny Borrell took the stage head to toe in black before launching into opener ’In The Morning’.

After a brief pause due to a technical issue with the band’s onstage monitor speakers, they then surprised the audience by including second album closer ’Los Angeles Waltz’ in their set.

“We thought about doing ‘Fall To Pieces’ which is a great song to play, but it was great to have a wildcard in there,” bassist Carl Dalemo told NME.COM. “’Los Angeles Waltz’ is a great one to play in a place like this.”

The band now set to head to play a set there this evening, NME.COM will have a full report live from the site.

Razorlight played:

’In The Morning’
‘America’
‘Los Angeles Waltz’

Live Earth continues at London with Snow Patrol on next, with performances coming from Bloc Party, Kasabian and Madonna among others.

Stay tuned to NME.COM for reports live from Wembley Stadium all day.
