Paolo Nutini has performed in the afternoon sun at Live Earth today (July 7).
The Scottish singer took to the stage at Wembley Stadium following a link-up with organiser and former US Vice President Al Gore, who spoke via the big screens from America.
The singer then took the stage, rattling through a selection of his songs from debut album ’These Streets’, plus a cover of Lois Armstrong’s ’What A Wonderful World’, which Nutini asked the crowd to sing-a-long with declaring, “I love this song!”.
He followed that with his own ‘Jenny Don’t Be Hasty’, briefly quoting Franz Ferdinand’s ’Take Me Out’ in the intro.
Paolo Nutini played:
‘Alloway Grove’
‘Last Request’
‘What A Wonderful World’
‘Jenny Don’t Be Hasty’
Live Earth continues in London with Black Eyed Peas on next, and performances coming from Bloc Party, Metallica and Madonna among others.
