HIP HOP TO IT!

It's that time of year again - and don't forget to vote for nmehiphop.com as your favourite site...

Nominations open on February 5 for the fifth annual ONLINE HIP HOP AWARDS through www.sohh.com.

The Awards are an annual celebration of hip hop culture designed to pay homage to artists, website developers and others who have made significant contributions to hip hop - both on and offline, in the US and internationally.

Last year's star-studded event, held in New York's Cipriani's Restaurant, featured such hip hop notables such as LL Cool J, Rah Digga, Dead Prez, and Busta Rhymes, amongst others.

Regarded as one of the most important events in hip hop, the OHHA's winners are nominated and chosen directly by the fans.

The Schedule runs as follows:

28/2/2001 Nominations close
1/3/2001 Finalists chosen and voting begins
31/3/2001 Voting ends
1/4/2001 Watch N' Win Contest
12/4/2001 The Show! Live Broadcast

Proceeds from the event are donated to a chosen worthy cause by OHHA to benefit urban community projects.
