Karen O rocks the rained-on crowd

Yeah Yeah Yeahs play stellar set at Lollapalooza

Yeah Yeah Yeahs drew a massive crowd at Lollpalooza yesterday evening as the first drops of rain fell over Grant Park.

Taking to the stage in a Kiss-style cape, Karen O’s costume as usual was sight to behold – a pleather and sequins creation.

Opening with ‘Sealings’[b], [b]O’s performance varied from coos to demonic screams as blue paint ran down her face thanks to rain and water.

The band tore through an hour-long set including ‘Cheated Hearts’, ‘Maps’, ‘Kiss Kiss’ and ‘Down Boy’.

O made several additions to her outfit through out the set including a bowler style hat with silver streamers attached, behind which she sang much of ‘Gold Lion’.

Lollapalooza continues today with performances by The Cribs, Los Campesinos, Amy Winehouse and Kings Of Leon. Check back to NME.COM later today for more updates.
