Eurovision winner to get UK release

And Lordi are playing Download too

Eurovision Song Contest winners Lordi are to release their winning song ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’ in the UK early next month.

And the band have also announced they will be appearing at next month’s Download Festival.

The Finnish metallers were the victors at the ceremony in Athens on Saturday (May 20).

The track will be available to buy on June 6. The following week (June 11) they play the Gibson Guitar/MySpace.com Stage at the Download bash, which takes place at Donington Park.

Lordi, who were originally from Lapland, received more votes than any other entry in the entire history of the Eurovision. The highest Finland have previously come in the competition is sixth.
