Ilan Rubin released new record this month

Lostprophets drummer Ilan Rubin is to release his debut solo album.

Rubin, who calls himself The New Regime, not only wrote the songs on the record on 'Coup', but also sang and played every instrument.

The star launched the project back in February with a mysterious viral video containing imagery of protest, uprising and urgency before announcing The New Regime was his solo project.

Rubin said: "I wanted people to listen to it and make up their minds based on the music — not who it was by, or what band I'm in."

'Coup' is out on November 18.

To listen to the album go to MySpace.com/thenewregime.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem as to people liking the music because of the musician.he isn't the LP original drummer and ... he is a drummer... nobody would know who he was anyway.
