Love documentary to get UK screenings

And the late Arthur Lee features strongly

A documentary about the late Arthur Lee and his band Love is to be premiered in the UK next month.

‘Love Story’, directed by Mike Kerry and Chris Hall, will be shown at the National Film Theatre on October 27 and then at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton on October 29.

The story focuses on the band’s first three albums - ‘Love’ (1965), ‘Da Capo’ (1966) and culminating in the 1967 classic ‘Forever Changes’.

The bulk of the interview material is provided by Lee, who passed away as the film was being completed. He died aged 61 in August from leukaemia.

There are also interviews with band members, including Johnny Echols, Alban 'Snoopy' Pfisterer, the late Bryan MacLean (via archive footage), and Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman.
