He beat off competition from:

Pharrell- 'In My Mind'
The Roots- 'Game Theory'
T.I.- 'King'


T.I. won the Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance with 'What You Know'.

He beat off competition from:
Busta Rhymes- 'Touch It'
Missy Elliott- 'We Run This'
Lupe Fiasco- 'Kick, Push'
Mos Def- 'Undeniable'

Also, in the Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group category, Chamillionaire Featuring Krayzie Bone won with 'Ridin', beating competition from:
