Barack Obama rejects Ludacris' Bush hating rap

Presidential candidate distances himself from rapper's new tune

Barack Obama rejects Ludacris' Bush hating rap

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has rejected support from US rapper Ludacris on new track, 'Politics'.

Even though the hook is positive ("The world is ready for change because Obama is here") other lyrics attack his Democratic rival for the nomination, Hillary Clinton, as well as Republican candidate John McCain and current President George Bush.

The lyrics include: "McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed/Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped ... you the worst of all 43 presidents" and "Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant".

Despite Obama claiming he is a fan of Ludacris in an interview with Rolling Stone, his spokesperson issued a statement which distanced the potential US President from sharing the song's sentiments.

"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to," they explained.
