LUTHER GETS NAUGHTY ON NEW LP
LUTHER VANDROSS, once the most lauded male soul singer, is set to release a new album in the New Year.

Fans of the silky-voiced singer will know that his career has gone from the heights achieved in the early '80s, when his 'Give Me The Reason' hit featured on the soundtrack to the 'Ruthless People' movie (starring Danny DeVito and Bette Midler), to the glut of Christmas albums that undermined his gift in the late '90s.

However, following Clive Davis' departure as head of Arista Records, Vandross has joined his new label, J Records, and will drop a new album (his 14th) next year. The currently untitled album will feature production by Naughty By Nature's DJ Kay Gee and RL from hip-hop soul trio Next.
