The rockers will hit the road together this summer

Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced that they will tour the US together this summer.

The rockers are set to kick off their 'Rock And Rebels' tour in Oklahoma City on August 8. They'll then play co-headlining dates in Houston, Indianapolis and Toronto before wrapping up in Hartford, Connecticut on August 31.

Beforehand, the acts will preview the tour at a special May 15 show at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Kid Rock will be joined by his 11-piece Twisted Brown Trucker Band on the jaunt.

The tour dates are:

Two of America's biggest musical embarrassments onstage TOGETHER??? This is too good to be true!! I'm dusting off my rebel flag and slapping my neck red as we speak. Now, if we could just get Nickleback and Creed onboard, that would be some kind of show! The Kings of White Trash Tour '08 sponsored by Budweiser.
