MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR LYNYRD SKYNYRD BASSIST

A memorial service has been arranged for LYNYRD SKYNYRD bassist LEON WILKESON for Wednesday (August 1).
The service at Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida, will be open to the public and Leon's family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Musician's Assistance Program (MAP) in lieu of flowers.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Leon, who was one of the founding members of the band whose hits include 'Sweet Home Alabama' and 'Free Bird', was found dead in Jacksonville on Friday (July 27). He had died in his sleep.
The service takes place at 11am.
