M83 have revealed the songs they intend to perform on Saturday (March 7) at their one-off performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Speaking to NME.COM, frontman Anthony Gonzalez explained that rather than focusing on the band's most recent album 'Saturdays = Youth', they intend to perform earlier material that's "more orchestral" in nature.

"We'll play tracks that are more like orchestral material -- mostly songs from my previous albums, for example 'Before The Dawn Heals Us', because I don't think it's really interesting to play pop songs with the orchestra," Gonzalez said.

He said that they also intend to play M83's remixed version of Bloc Party 'Pioneers', as well as 'Moonchild' and 'Lower Your Eyelids Today With The Sun'.

Gonzalez worked with orchestra conductor Julian Kuerti to select two classical pieces that the LA Philharmonic will perform that night. They chose Arvo Pärt's 'Fratres' and Claude Debussy's 'La Mer'.

"They're pieces of classical music I really really love," Gonzalez said. "I think those two pieces fit perfectly to the atmosphere of my music. It's gonna be great -- I can't wait to hear the orchestra play those pieces live. When I'm on the road I'm listening to lots of classical music and these are the two pieces I'm listening to the most."

Gonzalez, whose band recently toured with Kings Of Leon and The Killers, also admitted that although he's very excited to be performing with one of the world's most renowned orchestras, he's feeling a bit daunted by the prospect.

"Playing with the Philharmonic orchestra is a dream come true," he said. "It's gonna be very impressive and very challenging at the same time. So I'm really excited about. But to tell you the truth I'm stressed out for now because I still have a lot of work to do."
