Mac DeMarco has named his new album 'Salad Days' and played a number of new songs live for the first time during a radio appearance.

The Canadian musician appeared as a guest on Edmonton radio station CKUA, playing new songs 'Treat Her Better', 'Salad Days' and 'Let Her Go' live. DeMarco said that the album will be released in April but did not give a specific date. Scroll down to hear the radio session now.

Last week DeMarco updated fans on the album, saying that he had finished mixing and mastering the record in New York. DeMarco wrote: "I just finished mixing and mastering my new album at Electric Ladyland in NYC." The news came with a purported 'new song' which appeared to be a parody. "I know my label’s gonna be really mad, but I just am so excited. I had to share the title track and brand new music video with you guys." The subsequent video was, however, a spoof album trailer featuring a naked man dancing with an acoustic guitar.

Mac DeMarco recently shared the story behind his song 'Freaking Out The Neighbourhood' during a visit to the NME basement. Check out his take on the '2' album track here.
