THIS IS 'ID'!
The star gets ready to perform material from new album 'The Id' - and promises "a few surprises" too...
MACY GRAY has announced a one-off live date in LONDON later this month to debut her new album 'THE ID'.
The concert will take place at The Old Vic theatre on August 22, with tickets priced £15 available through her official websites, www.macygray.com and www.accessyourid.com.
A spokesperson said that in addition to performing 'The Id', which is released on September 17 through Epic, live for the first time, there will also be "a few surprises" for fans at the intimate gig.
The album includes collaborations with Sunshine Anderson, Angie Stone, Ahmir '?uestlove' Thompson, Slick Rick and Erykah Badu.
The Rick Rubin-produced album is preceded by a single, 'Sweet Baby', which is released on September 3.
Macy Gray is expected to kick off a world tour early in 2002.
