Human rights groups press ahead despite protests
The legal challenge against Madonna's recent adoption of an African baby boy has been adjourned until next month.
A judge in Malawi postponed the hearing until November 13 so more representations from the parties involved can be heard.
The coalition of 67 human rights groups are seeking an injunction which aims to block the interim order that allowed the star to fly one-year-old David Banda out of the country.
The boy's father, who was also in attendance, pleaded with the Human Rights Consultative Committee to drop their case.
He fears that their action could result in Madonna returning the child to Africa, reports BBC News
But the committee said they are determined to press ahead with their case.
They argue that Malawi law prevents foreign adoptions and Madonna speeded up the process through her wealth.
