Madonna to record special Live Earth song
Madonna
'Hey You' to be available as charity download
Madonna has recorded a special song for Live Earth.
The tune, ’Hey You’, is not set to be released as a commercial single and will only be available for download to benefit the global concert, which takes place across seven continents throughout July 7.
Fansite Drownedmadonna.com describes the meaning of the song as "about making a difference, loving yourself and others. It is a simple song, not at all like ’Confessions…’ music. You can call it a mid-tempo beat”.
Madonna will perform at the London leg of the concerts, which will take place at Wembley Stadium. Beastie Boys, Genesis, Foo Fighters and Razorlight are all set to perform in the UK capital.
