Co-op refused to let her buy another apartment in the building

Madonna is suing the board of directors in her New York apartment building after they refused to let her buy a unit for sale.

The singer, who already owns an apartment in the Upper West Side building wanted to buy a second apartment on the seventh floor but the board of directors blocked the purchase.

Now she is suing them claiming they wrongfully blocked the sale. She is asking that the sale be allowed to go through and that her legal fees are paid, according to the Associated Press.

Madonna has lived in the building on 64th St for 22 years.
