Madonna not picked for jury duty in Los Angeles

Singer escapes court in Beverly Hills

Madonna showed up for jury duty yesterday (February 25) in Los Angeles but was not picked to be a juror and released.

The Material Girl arrived at the courthouse in Beverly Hills wearing a brown velour tracksuit and spent her wait time texting and drinking Starbucks.

The singer had a late night the previous night as she threw this year’s most exclusive Oscars bash, after the annual Vanity Fair party was cancelled due to the Writer’s Guild strike. The strike was resolved, and the ceremony went ahead as normal.

Usmagazine.com reports that she was overheard confessing she had just three hours of sleep before coming to the courthouse.
