Madonna's Sticky And Sweet tickets 'to set tour record'
Star set to have undertaken the biggest-selling tour ever by a solo artist
According to tour promoter Live Nation, when the jaunt finishes in Brazil later this month it is likely to have grossed $282 million (£186 million) - beating her previous record of $194 million (£128 million), which was set on her 2006 tour, 'Confessions'.
The promoter revealed that the singer sold 550,000 tickets for the 28 US dates she played as part of the tour, earning $92 million (£60 million) on that leg alone of the global jaunt.
So far the 'Sticky And Sweet' tour, which ends on December 21, has already taken in an estimated $208 million (£137 million) in ticket sales.
