Madonna dismissed from film company lawsuit
The pop star is off the hook
Madonna is being let off the hook in a lawsuit alleging that her film company failed to repay an investor's loans.
Jay Dykes Jr filed suit against the singer and her company, Maverick Films, claiming that it did not pay back hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans or list him as a producer, as was originally agreed.
Dykes filed court papers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana yesterday (June 18) stating that Madonna will be dismissed from the lawsuit as part of a settlement, reports the Associated Press. The exact details of the financial settlement have not yet been revealed.
