Madonna is most-played artist of the decade in UK Madonna Tickets
Singer beats The Beatles and Robbie Williams to the top spot in PPL poll
Madonna was the most-played artist in the UK during the last decade.
The singer topped the People's Artist Chart, a poll compiled by PPL for BBC Radio 2.
The rundown - which was compiled using data from broadcast airplay and public performance in pubs, clubs, restaurants and other businesses - was revealed on the station this afternoon (April 5).
The Beatles came in at Number Two in the chart, while the Sugababes were the only group in the chart who emerged during the last decade.
The Top Ten of the People's Artist Chart was:
1. Madonna
2. The Beatles
3. Robbie Williams
4. Queen
5. Take That
6. Sugababes
7. Elton John
8. Elvis Presley
9. Abba
10. Coldplay
