Madonna has promised that will be no nipple flashing 'wardrobe malfunctions' during her 12-minute halftime performance during this Sunday's Super Bowl.

Referring to the famous incident in which Janet Jackson flashed a nipple at the same event in 2004, Madonna said: "For sure, no nipples," during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night (January 30). Jokingly, reports Billboard, she added: "I wasn't gonna go there - I don't like to repeat myself."

Yesterday MIA confirmed that she will be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj at the halftime show at the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis on February 5.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on his BBC Radio 1 show, the rapper and singer said: "Yes, I'm going to the Super Bowl… I'm gonna be performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj... If you're gonna go to the Super Bowl, you might as well go with America's biggest female icons."

MIA and Minaj both feature on Madonna's forthcoming single, 'Give Me All Your Luvin'', which is set for release on February 3. It's the first single to be taken from Madonna's forthcoming album, 'MDNA', which is out on March 26 through Interscope Records.
