Madonna says she wants to work with Daft Punk and hints at new album for 2014 Get Tickets

Pop superstar says she is 'just waiting for them [Daft Punk] to return my call'

Madonna has revealed that she wants to collaborate with Daft Punk.

The pop superstar took part in an "Ask Madonna Almost Anything" session on Reddit yesterday evening (September 17) and told fans: "I would love to work with Daft Punk," before adding that she is "just waiting for them to return my call".

Daft Punk's recent collaborator Nile Rodgers, who appears on and co-wrote the French duo's Number One hit 'Get Lucky' and follow-up single 'Lose Yourself To Dance', has worked with Madonna in the past, producing her 1984 album 'Like A Virgin'.

During the Q&A session, Madonna also hinted that a new album could be on its way in 2014, telling fans: "there might creative juices are flowing...." The singer released her last studio album, 'MDNA', in 2012 and saw it become her 12th Number One on the UK's Official Albums Chart.

During the Reddit session, Madonna went on to reveal that she has considered making a more stripped down acoustic or orchestral album, but ruled out ever making a "full-on rock album", calling the idea a "full-on no".
