Manic Street Preachers have started work on their 'elegiac pop' album.

The Welsh trio already have working titles 'Blueprint For Exile', 'Litany' and 'The Unwritten Diaries' for their seventh studio album.

According to the official website manics.co.uk
the band are planning to record the follow-up to 2001's 'Know Your Enemy' in America later this year.

[a][/a] are set to play the Move Festival in Manchester on July 11 and the Witnness Festival in County Kildare on the weekend of July 12-13. They are also rumoured to be playing Glastonbury Festival on the weekend of June 27-29, with a Main Stage billing on Sunday June 29 the most likely.
