THE MANIC STREET PREACHERS have postponed their US dates because of illness in the family.

James Dean Bradfield's mother is ill and he won't be able to leave the country. It's hoped that the dates will be rescheduled at a later date this year.

The Manics played at T In The Park on Sunday despite James having his mother's illness hanging over him.

Meanwhile the Patrick Jones album 'Commemoration And Amnesia' is released next week on Big Noise recordings. Patrick - brother of Nicky Wire - collaborated with James from the Manics, Cerys Catatonia and various Super Furry Animals on the album which fuses music with his poetry.
