Another Manic Street Preacher goes solo

Manic Street Preachers star Nicky Wire has confirmed details of his first solo release.

’The Shining Path’ is the first track to be released from his solo album ’I Killed The Zeitgeist’.

It will available to download from iTunes on July 17. The album will follow at a later date.

As previously reported by NME.COM fellow Manic Street Preacher James Dean Bradfield is set to release his debut solo album ’The Great Western’ on July 24.

The album features an appearance from Wire, who penned the lyrics for the song ’Bad Boys And Painkillers’.

The Manics are also working on the follow up to 2004’s ’Lifeblood’.
