Manic Street Preachers' fans are staging a convention under the banner title of 'You Love Us' in London in August.

The convention, due to be staged at London Highbury Garage on Saturday, August 8, is being organised by a consortium of fanzine editors.

Organisers say the event will be aimed at all fans of the Manics (pictured), and will not draw distinctions between "new fans/old fans". There will be merchandise stalls and competition giveaways as well as a picnic for the convention visitors on Highbury Fields if the weather is appropriate. Music journalist and noted fan Simon Price will host a quiz during the afternoon and will also provide a DJ set. Manics tribute band Generation Preachers will perform in the evening.

Tickets for the 'You Love Us' convention are #5.00 each, available from all Mean Fiddler venue box offices (subject to booking fee) or with no fee from - and payable to - 'ICONOCLASTIC GLITTER', PO Box 41, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England SL7 1GD.
