MANIC STREET PREACHERS have made a cash donation to a local animal sanctuary, their second such handout since the summer.

The trio have given a £3,000 share of the money raised from their Cardiff charity show back in August to the RSPCA's unwanted pets centre in Newport.

A spokesman for the Manics said: "The centre does a great job and the band is delighted to help."

As previously reported on NME.COM, bassist Nicky Wire donated cash to an appeal to help save the
'All Creatures Great and Small' animal shelter in South Wales.
