Mariah Carey names new album 'Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse'

Singer will release her latest studio effort on May 26

Mariah Carey has named her new album 'Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse'.

The album is due for release on May 26 and its elaborate title is explained by the singer in a video, which can be viewed at the top of the page.

Speaking about the first part of the title, Carey explains that it is inspired by a self-portrait she drew as a child. The same image will be used as the album's artwork. "Please don"t judge me for such a simplistic title. Come on, I was only three and a half," Carey says in the clip.

Production on the album comes from Rodney Jerkins, Jermaine Dupri, Hit-Boy and Mike Will Made It as well as guest appearances from Nas and Wale. It will also feature the 2013 single '#Beautiful', featuring Miguel. Carey's children, Monroe and Moroccan, also appear on a song titled 'Supernatural.'

The 'Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse' tracklisting is as follows:

'Faded'
'Dedicated' (feat. Nas)
