MARIAH'S VIRGIN OFFERING!

MARIAH CAREY's first album release since signing her multi-million dollar deal with VIRGIN will be the soundtrack to her forthcoming film, 'ALL THAT GLITTERS'.

The album, titled 'Glitter' is to be released on August 21 in the US,ten days before the film hits cinema screens. As previously reported, Carey is understood to be under a contract worth around £20 million per album.

The film, which also stars Eric Benet, Spice Girl Mel B's boyfriend Max Beesley and Mariah's half brother Warren, has the diamond diva playing an 80s pop hopeful called Billie, who attempts to find fame through her DJ boyfriend, and it is reported to echo her own life.

A single, 'Lover Boy' will be released precede the album in June, and will be backed with a cover of Indeep's 1983 hit 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life'.
