Transformers star Shia LaBeouf is reportedly set to film a documentary around the making of Marilyn Manson's new album.

The rocker has been working on the follow-up to 2009's 'The High End Of Low' for the past year and has relaunched his website, indicating that a new announcement can be expected soon.

Speaking on US breakfast show Live With Regis And Kelly (via Blabbermouth), LaBeouf spoke about a meeting he had with Manson, during which the 42-year-old was dressed in a pink kimono.

He said: "He lives in West Hollywood above a liquor store. There's no lights in the room. And there's sort of these big metal doors and he opens the door and he's in a big pink kimono. It's sort of like a lair. No lights, so you have to use your cellphone to guide you around."

LaBeouf continued: "We sat and watched movies for a while and talked about what kind of visuals he wanted on his album. Which are all really eccentric ideas."

Few details have emerged about Manson's new album, with only a 26-second audio clip, which you can see at the bottom of the page, available so far.

The album will be Manson's first for 15 years without drummer Ginger Fish, who left the band in February and has since joined Rob Zombie's backing band. He has been replaced by former Nine Inch Nails sticksman Chris Vrenna.
