Marilyn Manson will play a special, one-off show at London's O2 Academy Brixton on July 5.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (April 12) at 9am (BST). Support acts and guests for the show will be announced in due course. Manson had been booked to play Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth Park over the weekend of July 6-8, but the event was cancelled last month.

Earlier today Marilyn Manson insisted that he wants to challenge people with his new album. The notorious shock-rocker releases 'Born Villain' on April 30 and in an interview with Loudwire, said he knew people "won't give a shit" about the record unless it was confrontational.

He said: “If everything is happy, then who gives or a shit, or if it's just a straight line, I won't give a shit either. If it's down, which is sometimes where I was more often than up, it's not inspiring. So I just wanted to make something that would make people feel something.”

The album follows Manson's 2009 effort 'The High End Of Low', which was his band's last on Interscope Records. They have since signed a new deal with Cooking Vinyl, who will put out 'Born Villain'. A cover of 'You're So Vain', which features Johnny Depp playing drums and lead guitar as well as the actor's nine-year old son Sam, will be the album's bonus track.

Earlier this month Manson unveiled the controversial video for new track 'No Reflection'. The track will be released on limited edition white vinyl on April 21 as part of Record Store Day.
