Marilyn Manson has shared a new clip for his latest single 'The Mephistopheles Of Los Angeles'.

In the video, Manson plays the titular role of Mephistopheles, the devil figure of German folklore that makes a pact with Faust. The singer is seen blessing and baptising his followers in the clip, which features a cameo from The Wire and Boardwalk Empire actor Michael K Williams as Faust. Watch below.

'The Mephistopheles Of Los Angeles' is the fourth single from Manson's ninth album 'The Pale Emperor'. Read the NME review.

'The Pale Emperor' was released in January. Speaking to NME in advance of the record, Manson claimed he felt more confident about it than any of his releases since 2000's 'Holy Wood'.

"The album feels tied in to the fable of Mephistopheles, where life is fated," Manson said. "I haven't felt this way since 'Holy Wood', where fate has brought things together for a reason. It feels as if things were meant to fall into this exact place. This isn’t the ultimate of what I can achieve, but I'm showing proper respect for myself and what I’ve created in the past. It's what was meant to be."

The singer has been confirmed to headline the second stage of Download Festival on June 13. Manson also recently announced a joint tour with The Smashing Pumpkins.
