MARK MORRISON DRAMA - POLICEMAN ARRESTED

A policeman has been arrested on suspicion of taking a bribe from fallen pop star MARK MORRISON.

The 30-year-old officer was arrested on Monday night (July 15), the Met say.
He allegedly accepted a bribe from Morrison in return for getting him bail. The star has since skipped bail.

Morrison had been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and car theft last Friday (July 12). He was scooped on suspicion of abducting a woman in her twenties and of stealing her Mercedes car.

He had claimed that she stole an £8,000 gold bracelet from him. He was due for a bail hearing yesterday (July 18) but failed to appear at Paddington police station in London. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

A spokesperson for the Met said the police officer was arrested on suspicion of corruption and perverting the course of justice, the BBC reports.
