Mary J Blige sued for stealing music
The song in question is featured in iPod ad
Mary J. Blige has been sued by an entertainment company for allegedly stealing music she used on her most recent album and in an iPod commercial.
The Drama Family Entertainment company is seeking $2 million in the suit filed in Manhattan federal court earlier this week.
The lawsuit alleges the company suffered copyright infringement because the R&B star stole the music to her song 'Work That', which appears on her album 'Growing Pains'.
The company claims the music was created by a producer who worked for the company at the time, reports the Associated Press.
The song was also featured in an iPod commercial, but Apple Inc is not named in the suit.
