Massive Attack to curate London arts festival Massive Attack Tickets

Bristol band will take control of 2008 Meltdown

Massive Attack are set to curate this year’s Meltdown Festival on London’s South Bank.

The Bristol band will take control of the programme for the event, which takes place between June 14 and 22.

Massive Attack follow the likes of Elvis Costello, Morrissey and Patti Smith, who have previously curated the event.

“It's an honour to host Southbank Centre’s Meltdown Festival and to be in such inspiring company as its previous curators,” explained the band. “In addition to the music, we want this year's festival to have a strong political and visual element to it to reflect our influences and obsessions. Our aim is to mix it up a bit by instigating collaborations that make sense and probably some that don't.”

The line-up for Massive Attack’s Meltdown will be announced soon. See Southbankcentre.co.uk/all-events/meltdown/ for more information.
