Massive Attack in short film tribute to porn star

Massive Attack have commissioned a series of short films to accompany tracks from their new album 'Heligoland' - including one that focuses on legendary porn star Georgina Spelvin.

The 73-year-old Spelvin starred in 'classic' adult flick 'The Devil In Miss Jones' (1973), and the vignette – which accompanies Massive Attack track 'Paradise Circus' – is called 'Life Of A Pornstar'. Directed Toby Dye said the film shows Spelvin reminiscing on her role in the film.

"In unblinking close-up a frail little old lady looks straight down the lens of the camera as she describes the fuck of her life from nearly 40 years ago. Intercut with her frank confession is actual footage of the intimate moments she describes," the director wrote on Heligoland-films.massiveattack.com, where the film can be viewed.

There will be seven videos uploaded to Heligoland-films.massiveattack.com in total, with other directors including Ewan Spencer ('Flat Of The Blade'), Edouard Salier ('Splitting The Atom') and long-term Massive Attack filmmaker Baillie Walsh, who also interprets 'Splitting The Atom'.

Head to Heligoland-films.massiveattack.com to watch the films.
