20 FOR 30

MATCHBOX 20 are set to perform a one-off show to mark the 30th birthday of the HARD ROCK CAFE in LONDON on June 12.

The American outfit, best known in the UK for the contribution made by frontman Rob Thomas on 'Smooth' with Carlos Santana, will mark the anniversary at the Hammersmith Apollo.

The band have already scored Number Ones in the US with their last two singles, 'Bent' and 'If You're Gone', and are currently on a sold-out arena tour of the country. They will release the title track from their triple-platinum album 'Mad Season' as a single to coincide with their trip to the UK.

Thomas is also working at the moment with Mick Jagger. It is unclear if the fruits of their labours will appear as solo material or on a future Rolling Stones album.
