NME ShockWaves Awards tour stars to make special appearances
There's a few treats instore

NME ShockWaves Awards 2006 tour stars Maximo Park and We Are Scientists are to make a number of instore appearances at HMV stores throughout the country while on the jaunt.
The extravaganza is kicked off by Maximo Park in Glasgow on January 27, where they will be signing. They also perform an acoustic set in Newcastle on January 29.
We Are Scientists will be signing and performing at each store they visit.
At all appearances by both bands, entry is by wristband only – they will be available only from the relevant stores from opening on the day of each event.
The Maximo Park appearances are at:
Glasgow Argyle Street (5pm, signing only) (January 27)
Newcastle Northumberland Street (4pm, live acoustic + signing) (29)
Liverpool Church Street (5pm, signing only) (February 2)
Manchester Market Street (5pm, signing only) (4)
The We Are Scientists appearances are at:
Leeds Headrow Centre (5pm, live and signing) (February 1)
Sheffield High Street (5pm, live and signing) (7)
Birmingham High Street (5pm, live and signing) (8)
