Maximo Park promise new material at 'emotional' Great Escape live comeback
Newcastle band will play NME gig at Brighton festival in May
The Newcastle band are headlining an NME gig at Brighton Dome on the opening night of the May 10-12 festival, their first UK live date of the year. They'll also play at Newcastle's Revolution festival and Kendal Calling, along with a handful of European dates.
Speaking to NME, frontman Paul Smith told fans to expect an "exciting, emotional and energetic show" at The Great Escape, adding:
We're the kind of band who rise to the occasion.
The band have been working on their new album, the follow-up to 2009's 'Quicken The Heart', with Foo Fighters and Pixies cohort Gil Norton, ahead of an expected summer release.
