Maximo Park have announced a full UK tour for later this year.

The band, who release their fourth album 'The National Health' on June 11, which they recorded with Pixies and Foo Fighters producer Gil Norton, will play eight dates in November.

The gigs begin at the O2 Academy Liverpool on November 1 and run until November 10, when the band headline Portsmouth Pyramids Centre.

The band will also preview their new material with a short tour next month, playing three intimate UK dates in Manchester, London and Birmingham in the days before the album's release.

The band, who played an acoustic set in the NME office (check back later in the week to see the set) yesterday (May 28), have previously said that their new album featured "quite a lot of soul-searching".

Speaking to NME in a video which you can see by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen and clicking, keyboard player Lukas Wooller said: "We spent a lot more time writing this record; we did quite a lot of soul-searching. Having gone through that process and be still talking to each other, I think we've realised what makes the songs quintessentially us."

Maximo Park will play:

Birmingham Glee Club (June 6)
Manchester Sound Control (7)
London Heaven (8)
O2 Academy Liverpool (November 1)
O2 ABC Glasgow (2)
O2 Academy Newcastle (3)
Sheffield Plug (5)
Manchester HMV Ritz (6)
O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (7)
Birmingham HMV Institute (9)
Portsmouth Pyramids Centre (10)

Tickets go onsale on Wednesday (May 30) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of Maximo Park tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
