'NOW' IS THE TIME FOR MAXWELL

R&B heartthrob MAXWELL has confirmed that his new album, 'NOW', will be released in September.

'Now' is the follow-up to his much-lauded 'Urban Hang Suite' and 1998's 'Embrya'.

The album, which is due out on September 10, is preceded by a single, 'Get To Know Ya', on September 24.

The single is a departure for Maxwell, given its club-friendly funk feel, although the album itself reintroduces Maxwell's overt romanticism and re-establishes his role as soul music's emotional optimist.

The album includes Maxwell's cover of Kate Bush's classic 'This Woman's Work' and his Stateside hit 'Fortunate' which was written for him by R Kelly[/url], and has previously appeared on the soundtrack to the movie 'Life'.
