McAlmont and Butler back with one-off single
The duo return next month
David McAlmont and Bernard Butler are to reunite for a one-off single.
The duo, who last released an album together in 2002, will release brand new track ‘Speed’ on August 7 as a 7” and download only.
Butler told NME.COM: “There’s no album, no tour, no B-side, no video, no band, no sleeve – just a song that I love.”
The pair, whose biggest hit was ‘Yes’ in 1995, last worked together on the LP ‘Bring It Back’ in 2002.
There were reports that they were working on a third album, but then Butler began working again with former Suede colleague Brett Anderson as The Tears, who released the album 'Here Come The Tears' in 2005.
