McFly's 'Star Girl' played in outer space by Nasa McFly Tickets
Fans get their wish after bombarding Twitter
McFly have had their Number One hit 'Star Girl' broadcast in space.
The four-piece had the track played to astronauts orbiting Earth after fans bombarded Nasa with messages on Twitter.
The space agency offered 35 people the chance to talk live to the astronauts, but fans opted to have the track played instead.
Singer Danny Jones wrote on his own Twitter page, Twitter.com/Dannymcfly, "Thank you for playing our song in space it's definitely one if the coolest things that's happened since being in the band... amazing."
The song shot straight to Number One in the UK charts in November 2006.
