Meat Loaf confirms summer return after illness

Meat Loaf will play in the UK for the first time since cancelling a tour in late 2007.

The 'Bat Out Of Hell' star will play a date at London’s Excel Convention Centre as part of this year’s British International Motor Show on August 2.

Other bands set to play the festival include UB40 (July 23), Alice Cooper (July 24), Status Quo (July 25) and Deep Purple (July 30).

As previously reported on NME.COM Meatloaf postponed tour dates at the end of last year suffering with an "inter-vocal cord cyst".
