Meat Loaf to perform at Newbury Racecourse Ladies Day Party
Meat Loaf has announced plans to perform at Newbury's Ladies Day Party In The Paddock later this month.

The 'Bat Out Of Hell' singer will take to the stage after the horse racing has finished, in Berkshire on August 17. The show is part of his farewell UK tour 'Last At Bat'. He is expected to perform a two-act show, the first of which will include hits such as 'Dead Ringer For Love', 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' and 'I'd Lie For You (And That’s The Truth)', followed by a second act featuring 'Bat Out Of Hell' in its entirety. The album has sold more than 30 million copies around the world since being released in 1977.

Stephen Higgins, Managing Director at The Racecourse Newbury, said: "Meat Loaf's performance will be the perfect power ballad end to a great day's racing on Ladies Day this August. He has so many big hits which the crowds can sing along to and this fixture will certainly be one to remember."

Meat Loaf announced last year this would be his last-ever tour of the UK. He said: "When Jim (Steinman) and I first came together, we couldn't have dreamt the profound effect 'Bat Out Of Hell' would have on both our lives, and the lives of our fans around the world. I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together."
