Megadeth were joined by Jenny Lewis for a metal rendition of 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Click below to watch.

The unlikely collaboration was used to soundtrack a sketch in which the metal band pretended to promote their fake Christmas album 'Thrashing Through The Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas'.

Rilo Kiley lead singer Lewis released her last studio album 'Acid Tongue' in 2008 although 'I'm Having Fun Now', a duet with boyfriend Johnathan Rice under the moniker Jenny And Johnny was released in 2010. Megadeth, meanwhile, released their 13th studio album 'Super Collider' in June of this year, which was their first record since their 2011 effort 'Thirteen'.

In December last year, a new species of spider was named after Megadeth guitarist Dave Mustaine. The Aphonopelma Davemustainei was found in Southwestern New Mexico and Arizona by scientist Brent E. Hendrixson, who chose to name the arachnid after his favourite metal musician.

Mustaine also delivered a shocking diatribe against US President Barack Obama in 2012, when he accused him of "staging" the shootings in Aurora, Colorado and at the Wisconsin Sikh temple.

The singer was performing with his band in Singapore when he delivered the bizarre rant against the president, who he said was trying to secure new laws to control gun ownership by staging the shootings. Mustaine also said that he believed the United States was "turning into Nazi America".
